If you have the budget and the space, consider buying a greenhouse, you will not regret it as it opens up a whole new world of gardening opportunities. Many people think that they can start off their plants in the conservatory or on the window sill, but you soon get fed up of tripping over pots on the way to the Rattan sofa and a greenhouse gives you so much more room.
They are fairly inexpensive, especially if you can erect it yourself. It can be fairly tricky, though, so make sure you know what you are doing! But that is the hardest part as once it is up and running, the greenhouse will bring endless joy.
You know how it is when it is cold or raining – you are stuck indoors even though there is so much that needs doing in the garden. If you have a greenhouse you can garden in any weather and however cold it is outside it is always that little warmer inside, protected from the winds.
You can also grow more types of plants in a greenhouse, ones that are not suitable for our colder weather. And you can start off your veg and fruit much earlier than if you were to plant them straight outside.
If the greenhouse is big enough, stick a garden chair or even a little table and turn it into a haven of relaxation too.
