People either love gardening or they hate it, it can be relaxation or a chore. But the fact is that many people choose to spend a lot of time in their garden, when they have time off from their full time jobs such as a nurse or a Ford leasing agent, so there must be something in it!
Part of it depends on how big your garden is. People love the idea of huge gardens and imagine themselves running through the daisies, but if you plan to maintain it yourself, it has to be a realistic size or it starts to take over your life.
It can seem great fun at first, a touch of light weeding or pruning, but then the lawn and the hedges start to spring up and before you know it you spend every moment not at work just doing manual labour.
Also, try to go for plants that do not take much maintenance. Bright flowers that will just grow and grow with little intervention, maybe just a little dead heading now and then. This does take careful planning but will save a lot of time in the long run.
So, if you choose the right garden and the right plants for your garden, you will not be chained to it and will have more time for the sun lounger.
